Bi Luo
The innate flying-sword art of Liu Cai's natal flying sword, nurtured in the Xin Shi gourd and possessing the supreme ability to break ten thousand swords with a single strike.
Overview
Bi Luo (碧落) is one of the two natal flying swords belonging to the prodigious mountain-and-marsh rogue sword cultivator Liu Cai (刘材). It is nurtured within "Xin Shi" (心事)—one of the seven legendary sword-nurturing gourds cultivated by the Dao Ancestor before his ascension. The flying sword and its corresponding art gained widespread recognition across the Haoran Heaven when Liu Cai, despite only being at the Golden Core (Jindan) realm, was elevated to the list of the top ten young cultivators across multiple worlds.
Innate Ability
While standard sword cultivators are traditionally revered for their ability to "break ten thousand spells with a single sword" (一剑破万法), Bi Luo elevates this principle to an unprecedented, extreme level of offensive power. Its innate ability allows it to "break ten thousand swords with a single sword" (一剑破万剑).
Nurtured in the Xin Shi gourd—which literally translates to "a wish fulfilled"—the flying sword is a weapon of supreme sharpness and unparalleled piercing capability. Its unique Dao properties enable it to effortlessly shatter intricate sword arrays, devastate enemy flying swords, and physically puncture through any spatial or cosmological barrier established by an opponent.
Cosmological Counter
According to the analysis of the Yin-Yang master Zou Zi and the mastermind Zhou Mi, the emergence of Bi Luo (alongside Liu Cai's second flying sword, Bai Ju) is not a mere coincidence, but rather a deliberate cosmological counter to the rise of the Last Hidden Official, Chen Ping'an.
Chen Ping'an's primary flying sword, Caged Sparrow (笼中雀), functions by defining spatial boundaries and constructing a flawless, inescapable domain (Small Heaven and Earth). In direct opposition, Bi Luo strikes with the power to "soar to the highest blue heavens and plunge to the yellow springs" (上穷碧落下黄泉). No matter how vast the domain, how seamlessly the Yin and Yang are blended, or how orderly the Great Dao operates within the constructed cage, Bi Luo can pierce and shatter the spatial cage itself, rendering any defensive enclosure or territorial suppression an illusion. Because of this perfectly tailored counter, Zou Zi deliberately publicized the existence of Bi Luo as an open letter to the world, marking Liu Cai as the only sword cultivator destined to challenge the pinnacle combatants of his generation.
