Li Baoping (李宝瓶) is a central character and a prominent Confucian scholar originally hailing from the Lizhu Grotto-Heaven (骊珠洞天). Born into the town's prestigious Li clan, she was chosen by the sage Qi Jingchun (齐静春) to be his direct academic successor. Following her teacher's death, she traveled alongside Chen Ping'an—whom she affectionately calls her "Little Martial Uncle" (小师叔)—to the Great Sui Dynasty's Shanya Academy (山崖书院) to continue Qi Jingchun's scholarly lineage.

Known for her signature red clothing and her unyielding, relentless dedication to moral and academic reasoning, Li Baoping grows from a spirited young girl into a respected and formidable debater among the orthodox Confucian academies of the Haoran Heaven.

Appearance

In her childhood, Li Baoping was instantly recognizable by her bright red cotton jacket and the small bamboo book box she carried on her back. As she matured into a young woman, she maintained her preference for red clothing (红衣). She often carries a small wine pot at her waist and wears the legendary narrow knife Xiangfu (祥符). This knife is a national treasure and a martial destiny-suppressing artifact originating from Shenshui Country of the ancient Shu Kingdom, possessing a status nearly equivalent to a semi-immortal weapon.

Li Baoping is defined by her profound honesty, fierce independence, and an intense dedication to logical reasoning (认死理). She is not a blind follower of rules or conventions; rather, she adheres strictly to what she believes is fundamentally right and good. Early Life and The Journey

Born in the small town of Lizhu Grotto-Heaven, Li Baoping attended the local school run by Qi Jingchun. Recognizing her unique spirit and intellect, Qi Jingchun entrusted her with the continuation of his academic lineage before his sacrificial death. Escorted by Chen Ping'an, she embarked on a perilous, continent-spanning journey to the Great Sui Dynasty to enroll in the relocated Shanya Academy.

Scholarship and Academic Debates

At Shanya Academy, she matured into a towering intellectual figure within the younger generation of the Wen Sheng lineage. She famously traveled alone through the Middle Earth Divine Continent and engaged in extensive academic debates across various nations.

Her visits to the Chunru Chen clan's Shaoguang Academy (韶光书院) and Fanlu Academy (繁露书院) cemented her reputation in the scholarly world. Though her relentless debating style occasionally annoyed orthodox scholars, her brilliance and dedication commanded widespread respect, ensuring that Qi Jingchun's teachings continued to echo throughout the Haoran Heaven.
