Wei Bo (魏檗) is the reigning Mountain God of Piyun Mountain (披云山), the Northern Peak of the Dali Empire (大骊王朝). Originally a fallen mountain deity from the ancient Shenshui State (神水国旧神灵), Wei Bo experienced a meteoric rise under the Dali Empire's expansion, ultimately becoming the first mountain god in the history of the Baoping Continent to break through to the Upper Five Realms (上五境).

As a close neighbor and steadfast ally to Chen Ping'an's Luopo Mountain, Wei Bo frequently acts as a protective shield for the young sect, intentionally cultivating a cloud of mystery around their joint operations. Renowned for his wealth, elegant demeanor, and his extravagant "Night Wanderer Banquets" (夜游宴), Wei Bo navigates the complex intersections of mortal politics, mountain factions, and divine bureaucracy with unparalleled political savvy and good humor.

Wei Bo typically appears as an exceptionally handsome and elegant scholar (儒雅书生装束). He often carries a meticulously crafted bamboo-ribbed paper fan, projecting the relaxed, effortless grace of a terrestrial immortal.

Despite his refined and somewhat idle appearance, Wei Bo is a deeply pragmatic and shrewd manager of mountain and water fortunes. He is famously wealthy and generous, never blinking an eye at the massive expenses required to host his lavish Night Wanderer Banquets. Beneath his friendly exterior, he is fiercely loyal to his friends. He routinely serves as a willing scapegoat (背锅) for Luopo Mountain's more secretive or controversial actions, allowing Chen Ping'an's sect to develop quietly behind the imposing shadow of the Northern Peak. He also harbors a profound admiration for legendary figures like the great scholar and swordsman Bai Ye (白也).

History and Actions

Ascension to the Northern Peak

Long ago, Wei Bo resided at Qidun Mountain (棋墩山). Guided by the Mohist ranger Xu Ruo (许弱) acting on behalf of the Dali National Teacher Cui Chan, Wei Bo left Qidun Mountain and accepted the mantle of the Northern Peak Mountain God at Piyun Mountain. This move integrated him directly into the core of Dali's soaring national destiny.

Reaching the Upper Five Realms

Capitalizing on the booming national fortunes of the Dali Empire and his own profound accumulation of divine merit, Wei Bo successfully broke through to the Upper Five Realms. His ascension triggered continent-wide attention, accompanied by countless auspicious signs and omens appearing throughout his northern jurisdiction, cementing the Dali Empire's overwhelming dominance in the region's spiritual landscape.

Alliance with Luopo Mountain

Wei Bo's Piyun Mountain borders Chen Ping'an's Luopo Mountain, and the two factions share an incredibly tight bond. They jointly operate the highly lucrative Niujiao Mountain Ferry (牛角山渡口). Wei Bo also leverages his official authority to help legitimize and conceal Luopo Mountain's gray-area revenues, filtering them through his mountain's treasury into clean immortal currency. He maintains an amicable, teasing relationship with the residents of Luopo Mountain, often trading jokes with Zheng Dafeng and Chen Lingjun, while deeply respecting Chen Ping'an's character.
