Establishment of the Five-Colored Heaven

Overview

Following the apocalyptic fall of the Sword Qi Great Wall, the Confucian Temple invested an immense price to locate and open the path to a pristine, unformed fifth world. To secure a sanctuary for the surviving young sword cultivators escaping within the ascending Feisheng City, the Old Xiucai and the world's most proud scholar, Bai Ye (wielding the immortal sword Tai Bai), entered this new realm. Bai Ye utilized his unparalleled swordsmanship to cleave open the chaos and separate clarity from turbidity. Meanwhile, the Old Xiucai worked tirelessly to stabilize the mountains and rivers, expending massive amounts of his own merit to lay the foundations of the new world and secure an overarching karmic protection for Feisheng City.

Because Bai Ye's world-opening merit was so vast, the Confucian Temple agreed to designate the new era as "Jia Chun" (嘉春), with the first year marked by the landing of Feisheng City. Although Confucianism primarily forged this new world, they allowed the Daoist and Buddhist factions (from the Qingming Heaven and the Lotus Heaven, respectively) to open their own gates, permitting up to three thousand practitioners each to enter and establish lineages within the first century. The Old Xiucai remained in this world stabilizing the landscape until Jia Chun Year 3, before being escorted out by Bai Ye's sword strike.

As the first cultivators to populate the pristine world, the sword cultivators of Feisheng City gained tremendous karmic advantages from the nascent Heavenly Dao. Ning Yao, in particular, was heavily favored by the new world's Dao. She became the fifth world's first Jade Pure, Immortal, and ultimately Ascended-tier cultivator, as well as the first to slay the strange ancient entities roaming the unexplored lands. These consecutive "firsts" rapidly cemented her position as the undisputed first person of the new world.

Outcome / Consequences

The establishment of the new world—eventually named the "Five-Colored Heaven" (五彩天下) by the Sage of Rites (Li Sheng)—provided an impregnable sanctuary that preserved the purest lineage of sword cultivators from total annihilation. This new cosmological domain shifted the universal balance of power, creating a realm where sword cultivators reigned supreme, entirely free from the ancient penal status of the Sword Qi Great Wall, and set the stage for humanity's eventual counter-offensive against the Wild World.
