Overview

Approximately three thousand years ago, following the devastating Dragon Slaying Campaign, the world's last true dragon fled to the northern territory of the Bao Ping Continent. Seeking salvation, the severely wounded creature attempted to reach the ancient ascending platform controlled by Yang Laotou (the Qing Tong Heavenly Monarch) for a chance to escape. However, the ancient deity chose to remain a bystander. The true dragon ultimately perished, and its fall led to the formation of the Lizhu Grotto-Heaven. In the aftermath, four saints of the Three Teachings and One Hundred Schools personally appeared to establish a contract, decreeing that a sage would take turns overseeing the pocket dimension every sixty years to watch over the dragon's residual fortunes.

To suppress the dragon's remnants and slowly harvest its immense legacy, the sages and great cultivators—including disciples of Mr. San Shan Jiu Hou—constructed a hidden town that functioned as a massive, elaborate suppression array. The physical geography of the town was meticulously designed to pin down the true dragon's corpse. Zhenzhu Mountain represented the dragon's pearl, while Longxu Stream and the town's main street acted as its two whiskers. Taoye Alley and Fulu Street functioned as the dragon's spine and neck, respectively. Every mansion built on Fulu Street acted as a suppression talisman to prevent the dragon from raising its head, and the peach trees planted in Taoye Alley served as dragon-trapping nails.

Furthermore, the hidden town's dozens of dragon kilns were established directly over the crucial acupoints of the dragon's spine. The continuous burning of these kilns, known to the locals as a thousand-year eternal fire, served as a karmic hellfire intentionally designed to constantly temper and torture the true dragon's soul, ensuring it could never rise again.

Outcome / Consequences

The formation of this dragon-suppressing town successfully prevented the last true dragon from reviving while transforming the Lizhu Grotto-Heaven into a unique cradle for cultivation geniuses. Because the dragon's immense, lingering fortunes seeped into the local population over three thousand years, the town continually birthed extraordinarily talented youths, fundamentally shaping the destinies of its inhabitants and laying the groundwork for the era of Chen Ping'an and his peers.
