The Heavenly Confrontation with Zhou Mi
Chen Ping'an separates his divinity to initiate two Heaven-Earth Connections, joining forces with the Three Teachings Patriarchs and Zhi Ci to shatter Zhou Mi's divine foundation.
Overview
As the mastermind Zhou Mi attempted to perfectly consolidate his divine authority within the ancient heavenly ruins (the New Heaven), a profound cosmological interception was launched from the mortal realm. To prevent Zhou Mi from absorbing all divine authority and establishing an unbreakable absolute rule, Chen Ping'an took an unprecedented gamble. At the moment of his own "ascension," Chen Ping'an forcibly stripped his human nature from his divine nature. Acting as a self-ordained human god, his pure divine form initiated two massive "Heaven-Earth Connections" (天地通)—golden pillars of light bridging heaven and earth—to directly clash with Zhou Mi's descending divine power.
Faced with this resistance, Zhou Mi ruthlessly consumed the other newly appointed high gods of his court, such as Li Zhen, absorbing their divinity to reinforce his own strength. However, the true lethal blow to Zhou Mi's grand design came from the Three Teachings Patriarchs (the founders of Confucianism, Daoism, and Buddhism). After ten thousand years of waiting, the Patriarchs finally made their definitive move. Gathering their ultimate Dao laws, they manifested a massive purple-gold lotus covered entirely in the text of the human realm. Handed to the Daoist Zhi Ci, this lotus illuminated the dark mortal world with immense light.
The Three Teachings Patriarchs synchronized their strikes to first sever Zhou Mi's divine roots anchored in the New Heaven, and then shattered the descending golden line of his power, pulverizing it layer by layer into countless motes of pure divinity that scattered like snow across the human realm. Simultaneously, the Fire God Ruan Xiu, who had ascended to the New Heaven and taken a throne, casually extracted a single crucial mote of golden light from Zhou Mi's towering divine mountain. This seemingly minor extraction triggered the immediate structural collapse of the newly formed heavenly realm.
Outcome / Consequences
While Chen Ping'an's divine form technically "lost" the direct clash of sheer power against Zhou Mi, the overarching strategy was a monumental victory for humanity. The combined assault by Chen Ping'an, the Three Teachings Patriarchs, Zhi Ci, and Ruan Xiu successfully prevented Zhou Mi from assimilating Chen Ping'an's divinity to become an unopposed 15th-tier supreme entity. By shattering Zhou Mi's divine foundation and scattering his accumulated power back into the mortal world, they thwarted his optimal cosmological design, fundamentally disrupting his newly established heavenly order and ensuring that the human realm would not be eternally subjugated by a new pantheon.
