Overview

Following the breach of the Sword Qi Great Wall, the Wild World armies surged into the Haoran World, making the Fuyao Continent a primary battleground. To stall the demonic advance and prevent the total annihilation of the continent, Bai Ye—revered as the "Most Proud Scholar in the World" (人间最得意)—left his secluded life to intervene. Wielding the legendary immortal sword Tai Bai, which he had borrowed from Daoist Grandmaster Sun Huaizhong of the Great Xuandu Temple, Bai Ye descended upon the center of Fuyao Continent, announcing his arrival to the invading forces.

Recognizing the immense threat he posed, the mastermind Wenhai Zhou Mi orchestrated an unprecedented encirclement. The Wild World deployed six Throne Great Demons—Bai Ying, Wu Yue, Yang Zhi, Yuan Shou, Niu Dao, and Qie Yun—to confront the scholar. They utilized a massive, continent-wide formation that isolated Fuyao Continent's spiritual energy and locked down its river of time, intending to trap Bai Ye in an inescapable cage and drain his power. However, Bai Ye possessed a unique 14th-tier cultivation path that harmonized not with heaven or earth, but with humanity and his own unparalleled poetic spirit. Utilizing his poetry as lethal sword qi, Bai Ye single-handedly suppressed the six Throne Great Demons, repeatedly cleaving through their true forms, dharma idols, and ancient armors with ease. During the battle, he was joined by the talisman master Yu Xuan, who forcibly broke through the continent's lockdown to provide vital support and stabilize the shattered space.

Despite his overwhelming display of power, Bai Ye ultimately fell victim to Wenhai Zhou Mi's intricate time-manipulation trap and a decisive strike from the Great Demon swordsman Liu Cha. Operating within a disrupted and reversed river of time, Zhou Mi isolated Bai Ye, leaving him to face Liu Cha's fatal blow after his spiritual energy and poetic verses were exhausted.

Outcome / Consequences

Before his defeat, Bai Ye successfully slew the Throne Great Demons Qie Yun and Bai Ying (Zhou Mi's yang-spirit avatar) in the disrupted river of time. His legendary stand ended with the immortal sword Tai Bai shattering into four fragments that scattered across the worlds, and Bai Ye losing his 14th-tier cultivation and perishing in that timeline. Nevertheless, his heroic intervention inflicted catastrophic damage on the Wild World's highest-tier combatants, disrupted Zhou Mi's optimal invasion strategy, and permanently etched his legend into the history of the Haoran World as a peerless scholar and swordsman.
