Overview

The Eastern Aquarius Continent (宝瓶洲) is one of the nine major continents of the Haoran Heaven (浩然天下). Despite being the smallest of the nine continents in terms of territorial size and historically derided by outsiders as a cultural and martial backwater, it achieved unprecedented prominence by becoming the only continent in the world to be entirely unified under a single secular empire: the Great Li Dynasty (大骊王朝).

During the apocalyptic Haoran-Manhuang War, when neighboring southern continents quickly fell to the invading Monster Race, the Eastern Aquarius Continent stood firm. Under the strategic mastery of National Teacher Cui Chan (崔瀺), it served as the ultimate defensive bulwark that successfully shattered the monster army's momentum, saving the Haoran Heaven from total subjugation.

Geography

Located in the northern hemisphere of the Haoran Heaven, the Eastern Aquarius Continent lies south of Beiju Luzhou (北俱芦洲) and north of the Tongye Continent (桐叶洲). Historically, the continent was roughly divided into distinct northern, central, and southern regions, comprising dozens of independent mortal dynasties and vassal states.

Following the Haoran-Manhuang War, the continent's geography and destiny were drastically reshaped. The most significant geographical feature is the Qi River (齐渎), a massive, artificially excavated continental river (大渎) that spans across the landmass. The creation of the Qi River fundamentally altered the continent's water transport, dragon veins, and overall destiny, anchoring its newfound status as a major power in the world.

The continent's power structure underwent a radical transformation from a fractured landscape of numerous sects and countries into a highly centralized, militarized machine.

• Confucian Academies: The orthodox moral and cultural governance of the continent is overseen by three major Confucian academies: Guanhu Academy (观湖书院), Shanya Academy (山崖书院), and Linlu Academy (林鹿书院).
• Major Sects and Factions: Despite the Great Li Dynasty's absolute secular control, the continent hosts several immensely powerful cultivation factions that serve as its defensive pillars. These include:

The Unification of the Continent

For most of its history, the Eastern Aquarius Continent was fragmented. The turning point came when the Great Li Dynasty, guided by the "Practicality" (事功) ideology of its National Teacher Cui Chan, began a systematic southward conquest. Utilizing military supremacy, espionage, and the monopolized talents from the Lizhu Grotto-Heaven, Great Li steadily conquered peaceful nations like Huangting Country and powerful empires like the Zhuying Dynasty, ultimately unifying the entire continent under the Song surname.

The Haoran-Manhuang War

When the Sword Qi Great Wall fell and the Manhuang Heaven invaded, the Monster Race swiftly overran Fuyao and Tongye continents before launching a massive assault on the Eastern Aquarius Continent, beginning at Old Dragon City in the south. However, Cui Chan had spent centuries turning the entire continent into an interlocking defensive fortress. By mobilizing every mortal soldier and mountain cultivator, and utilizing墨家 (Mohist) Sword Boats and Mountain-Moving Ferries, the Eastern Aquarius Continent successfully halted the apocalypse. The continent suffered heavy casualties but emerged as the savior of the Haoran Heaven.
