Five Colored Heaven

Overview

The Five Colored Heaven (五彩天下) is the newly established fifth major world in the universe. Forged through the immense sacrifices and concerted efforts of the Confucian Sages of the Haoran Heaven, it was originally opened as a refuge during the apocalyptic Haoran-Manhuang War. Today, it serves as a melting pot of displaced populations and elite cultivators. It is the permanent home of Feisheng City (飞升城)—the ascended city-state of the former Sword Qi Great Wall—alongside thousands of elite Daoist and Buddhist cultivators seeking to establish new sectarian lineages, and nearly ten million mortal refugees who fled the destruction of their home continents.

Geography & Demographics

Unlike the ancient, established heavens, the Five Colored Heaven is a vast, relatively untamed frontier experiencing rapid growth and terraforming by high-level cultivators.

• Feisheng City (飞升城): Located squarely at the "center of heaven and earth" (天地中央). Relocated from the Sword Qi Great Wall, it remains the most concentrated and lethal military force in the new world, fiercely defending its independence and expanding its influence.
• The Eastern Daoist Realm: The eastern region of the world is largely occupied by three thousand Daoist officials from the Qingming Heaven. Cultivators from factions such as Bai Yujing (白玉京) collaboratively forged a vast sea of purple clouds in the east, which periodically rains spiritual nectar to nourish the land and elevate the world's innate spiritual density.
• Mortal Refugees: During the first two years of the world's opening, nearly ten million refugees poured in, predominantly fleeing the devastated Tongye Continent (举洲逃难) and the coastal regions of the Fuyao Continent (扶摇洲). These populations bring a chaotic blend of three teachings and nine schools, forming new mortal dynasties and struggling for survival in the fledgling world.

History & Formation

The Opening of the Fifth World

The creation of the fifth world was a monumental undertaking led by the Confucian Temple to preserve humanity and civilization. For a long period, it was simply referred to as the "Fifth World" (第五座天下). Early debates regarding its name included the Ritual Sage rejecting the name "Rules" (规矩), and the Sub-Sage rejecting "Peach Blossom Spring" (桃源). It was only later, during a major Confucian Temple assembly, that it was officially designated as the "Five Colored Heaven" (五彩天下).

Settlement and Expansion

Due to the immense cost paid by the Confucian Temple to open this world, it was initially expected that Confucianism would dominate the territory. However, the Temple permitted a restricted influx of outsiders: a hard cap of 3,000 Daoists from the Qingming Heaven (including sects like Bai Yujing, Xuandu Daoist Temple, and Suichu Palace) and 3,000 Buddhist monks from the Lotus Heaven were allowed entry to establish branch sects and spread their teachings.

Simultaneously, the Eldest Sword Immortal Chen Qingdu sacrificed himself to split the sky, allowing the younger generation of sword cultivators and the city proper of the Sword Qi Great Wall to ascend into this world, preserving the purest lineage of sword cultivation.

Notable Figures

• Ning Yao (宁姚): Universally acknowledged as the "First Person of the Five Colored Heaven" (五彩天下第一人). Having arrived with Feisheng City, she achieved rapid, unprecedented breakthroughs to the Ascension Realm and ultimately the 14th Realm. She is favored by the Great Dao of the new world, and her overwhelming combat prowess deters any foreign factions (such as Bai Yujing) from attempting to dominate the realm.
• Qi Tingji (齐廷济): One of the two Great Sword Immortals responsible for holding open the sky-gates to the new world (alongside Zuo You) to allow the refugees and cultivators to enter.

Notes

• Because the Five Colored Heaven is a pristine, evolving world, it frequently generates natural karmic fortunes, unearthing ancient divine remnants, and spawning new spiritual sites. This makes it an incredibly lucrative, albeit dangerous, frontier for the cultivators who managed to secure a spot before the gates were sealed for a century.
• The world is currently sealed; the gates connecting it to the Haoran Heaven will remain closed for a hundred years to allow the local factions to firmly establish their foundations without constant external interference.
